400g beef mince
½ cup multigrain bread crumbs
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
2 teaspoons olive oil
4 cheese slices
4 halved hamburger buns (optional toasted)
1 cup shredded lettuce
2 teaspoons mustard
4 thinly sliced gherkins
2 finely chopped spring onions
Preheat oven to 130oC fan forced and line a baking tray with baking paper.
In a bowl, mix mince, breadcrumbs and half the tomato sauce and season with pepper. Shape into four 1.5cm thick patties.
In a large, nonstick frying pan heat oil over medium heat and cook patties for 5 minutes each side or until cooked through. Then place onto the baking tray.
Top each with 1 cheese slice. Bake for 5 minutes or until cheese has melted.
Place lettuce in bun and top with patties, mustard, gherkins, onions and tomato sauce. Put on the top bun and serve.
