Black Point Beef, John and Barbara Dunnet

Located in the Scott River, John and Barbara Dunnet are Fourth Generation Farmers in the South-West Coast of Western Australia. They use their extensive knowledge of the farming and the land to manage the balance of soil to grow the healthiest possible grass, to produce the healthiest possible beef. They believe managing, replenishing and improving the soil's natural microbiology provides optimally nutritious grass feed for their free-ranging predominantly Angus and Murray Grey herds. No hormones or antibiotics are needed to sustain the health of the animals, and the high quality of their feed together with the purity of the natural environment result in premium quality, superb tasting beef which offers real health benefits to consumers.

Black Point Beef

John and Barbara Dunnet raise both Angus and Murray Grey beef, breeds which are renowned for their prime eating quality. Each of the animals has approximately an acre of land planted with premium rye grass and clover in which they happily graze all their lives. Their grazing land is located around two kilometres from the temperate influence of the Southern Ocean and is surrounded by more than 1672 kilometres of natural, oxygen rich bushland. It's no wonder that the beef are happy, healthy and stress free. The beef is dry aged, which means the moisture is evaporated from the muscle. This creates a greater concentration of beef flavour and taste. Also, the beef’s natural enzymes break down the connective tissue in the muscle, which leads to more tender beef.
